With all the turbulence of 2020, we consciously left the design of our marketing literature until quite late. It now seems that our sixth sense paid off, as just as we were about to press the button to dispatch the artwork to the printers, the COVID restrictions tightened. And Cornwall was thrust into Tier 3. A full lockdown unfortunately followed, bringing with it devastating complications for our exhibiting artists. We had selected January as the perfect month to showcase the collections of three inspiring local artists who are tentatively starting to make headway as professional artists... It's been a busy weekend so far, and we are looking forward to many more visitors in the coming week for the Open Studios Cornwall event.  Most of our guests have been surprised that anything exists beyond the gallery. Sometimes you have to say sorry, and last week we did just that. A fantastic window of opportunity had opened a few weeks ago when we discovered that Michelle Cassar was coming down to Falmouth to talk about her fabulous children's book Seb and Polly Planet on their Ocean Quest. So we rashly asked Eve Bourrat, the books' talented illustrator, and Michelle to extend their tour and visit our little gallery. Michelle crowdfunded for the project to raise awareness of the plastic pollution crisis. A noble idea which will hopefully encourage younger generations to become actively involved in conserving the sea life and save the planet....
