Karen has lived in Cornwall since 2002 and on the Helford river for the past 15 years.
Since returning to painting in 2018 her self taught style has evolved. In the past 12 months an experimental side has emerged using acrylics, botanicals and sometimes hand made collage papers made using a geli plate and tissue paper. These little jugs of joy are worked in a series, starting out with the chosen limited colour palette, foraged botanicals from her Helford garden, mark making using found objects and glaze layering.
