Join us from 17:00-19:00 on Friday evening to meet Cathy and raise a glass or two to toast her amazing work
Cathy's exhibition runs from the 23 April - 10 May
and we are open from 12:00-17:00 Wednesday - Saturday
Cathy has lived for the majority of her life in Cornwall, absorbing the beauty and natural connections of life around her. She enjoys working with many mediums in her art, but has a particular fascination and fondness for the mysteries of watercolour.
Water, in particular, is such a powerful force of nature, and the perfect working form of a water activated medium is something she is very drawn to working with due to its fluid, transparent, unpredictable and sometimes surprising nature.
She is also drawn to representing that which she sees around her often inspired by the seasons, textures and colours that change so evocatively throughout the year. Cathy's emotional response often includes a sense of softness, familiarity and intensity only found from deep immersion with her subject.
She enjoys teaching watercolour workshops locally and love to connect others to their creativity and joy which can be so beneficial to one’s health, well being and inner healing.
