Diane Hadden is a painter originally from Northern Ireland.
She has lived in Cornwall for over twenty five years and currently has a studio at Trewidden Artists Studios near Penzance in Cornwall. She studied Painting & Printmaking at Hull 1985-88 followed by a Post Graduate Year in Cyprus in 1988-89. This Mediterranean experience has had lasting effect on her work with a strong love for colour and light in the natural landscape. Rural and coastal landscapes are her main source of inspiration. She is largely influenced by Impressionists, Abstract Expressionism and Fauvism.
Diane has lived in Cornwall for the past 20 years and her current work is driven by a love of coastal landscapes and the forms she finds there and from places she has visited.
Oil painting is her chosen medium. She sells her work largely through galleries in St Mawes and on Tresco, as well through regular exhibits at The Gurnards Hotel and The Coastguards Hotel. And during Open Studios Cornwall at the Trewidden Artists Studios, where Diane's studios are usually open to the public.
