Long Fetch II - Gum & ink
by Dave Pentin

Original gum and ink painting
White frame, with art glass 42 x 64cm

This view is from Gwithian Sands looking over to Carbis Bay and was inspired by the chapter of the same name by Raynor Winns - The Salt Path.

Dave Pentin is an artist who loves to get his hands dirty with pencils, paint and inks.
He sketches and portraits in his own time and his work for the St Petroc's portrait exhibition in the Royal Cornwall Museum in 2025.

A design graduate of Falmouth School of Art, Dave picked up his pens and paintbrushes once again after a 20-year gap. Now retired and permanently back in the Cornish landscape he is enjoying experimenting with gum arabic and acrylic inks, and running workshops to share this fascinating layering technique.

Dave's recent solo exhibitions include those at Inspire Makers, Terrace Gallery,  Poly Falmouth and FORM festival.
