This is the original Cornish name for the beach that lies at the foot of Trebah Garden. The view is from the footpath above the beach, always a good spot to pause and take it all in, perched on an ancient stone stile. This painting is all about two things, the gentle patterns carved on the sand shingly beach by the winter tides, and the soft muted turquoise of the Helford waters. At this time of year, when the skies are often resolutely overcast, the river still glows, uplifting the spirit. I actually love this quiet time of year. The blossoms are emerging on the magnolia trees and spring bulbs are starting to show,
